There are currently over 1,257 students in the Holden community. Each one of them has a name, a face, and a story. Unfortunately, over 45% of them live in poverty. For those children, our schools are more than just places to learn. They are a refuge from a home that might not have food in the cupboards. They are a warm place on a cold, wintry day. They are a place where a child can find a friend, a smile, and a caring adult. These children each have hopes and dreams.
That’s where Bright Futures comes in! Community members work hand in hand with our local schools to create important structures around kids that they need to be successful learners and eventually successful members of the community. We do this by ensuring that when a student’s need is identified by school staff members, it can be met in a quick and discreet manner.
